I crashed and learned my lesson.  The lesson is that I need all the driving help that is available to me. I was lucky this time because I was only driving about 25 MPH.
Car Models and Advanced Safety Systems
  • Forward-collision warning, with or without auto brake, should be on top of your new-car wish list.
  • Backup cameras are becoming increasingly common. They are highly recommended. By 2018, they will be standard on all cars.
  • Blind-spot warning and rear-cross traffic alert are commonly bundled together, and they are well appreciated among CR staff.
  • Lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist can help keep the car on the right track, helping limit those times when the car may wander.

These are the cars that I am willing to consider. These cars offer the widest array of safety features.

I think that these safety features and more are the wave of the future.

I walk between 3 and seven miles daily. It is amazing that there are so many thinks that we see as we walk but never get to enjoy when we drive everywhere. It appears that this lady is waiting to become a mother, so I wish her good luck!

Reading this made my day!

Subject: Fw: Born 1925 - 1955?,

NO MATTER WHAT OUR KIDS AND THE NEW GENERATION THINK ABOUT US

WE ARE AWESOME !!!  Our Lives are LIVING PROOF !!!

To Those of Us Born 1925 - 1955:

At the end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno.

If you don't read anything else, Please read what he said.

~~~~~~~~~
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s !!
First, we survived being born to mothers who  smoked and/or drank While they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
Then, after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs
Covered with bright colored  Lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets,
And, when we rode our bikes, We had baseball caps, Not helmets, on our heads.
As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..
Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar.
And we weren't overweight.
WHY? Because we were always outside playing...that's why!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day ...And, we were OKAY.
We would spend hours building Our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill,
Only to find out We forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned To Solve the problem.
We did not Have Play Stations, Nintendo's ' and X-boxes. There were No video games,
No 150 channels on cable, No video movies Or DVDs,
No surround-sound or CDs, No cell phones, No personal computers, No Internet and No chat rooms.
 WE HAD FRIENDS And we went Outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, Broke bones and Teeth,
And there were No lawsuits  From those accidents.
We would get
Spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand,
And no one would call child services to report abuse.
We ate worms, And mud pies Made from dirt, And The worms did Not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, 22 rifles for our 12th, rode horses,
made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and -although we were
Told it would happen- we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes Or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell,
or just Walked in and talked to them.
Little League had tryouts And not everyone Made the team.
Those who didn't Had to learn To deal with Disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent Bailing us out If we broke the law was unheard of ...
They actually sided with the law!
These generations have Produced some of the best risk-takers,
Problem solvers, and Inventors ever.
The past 60 to 85 years Have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, Failure, success and responsibility, and we learned
How to deal with it all.
If YOU are One of those born Between 1925-1955, CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the lawyers
and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.
While you are at it, forward it to your kids, so they will know how brave and lucky
their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it ?
~~~~~~~

The quote of the month by Jay Leno:

"With hurricanes, tornados,

fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the

country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist

attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

For those that

prefer to think that God is not

watching over us...

go ahead and delete this..

For the rest please pass this on.

The Rendon Center for Dermatology – when you want or need skin care!

My experience was so good that I feel that I want to share. The beautiful, comfortable facility is a good start then, the staff, Doctor Chan, the medical assistances were all nice, informative, helpful and understanding. Finally; the fees were reasonable and I did not feel that I was ripped off as is often the case when vising medical offices.

I found all this information on Zillow or the MLS. I am passing it along because I am often questioned why property value is very high. I think one of the biggest factors is the price of a build-able lot. Also the house plans and impact fees add considerably and this is all before the material and labor cost.

$336,400
$328,800
$263,000
$222,000
$202,600
$152,400
$132,100
$103,500
$74,900

The median home value in Boca Raton is $319,700. Boca Raton home values have gone up 7.6% over the past year and Zillow predicts they will rise 1.4% within the next year. The median list price per square foot in Boca Raton is $197, which is lower than the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metro average of $205.

The median home value in Palm Beach County is $249,500. Palm Beach County home values have gone up 8.7% over the past year and Zillow predicts they will rise 2.0% within the next year. The median list price per square foot in Palm Beach County is $178, which is lower than the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metro average of $205. The median price of homes currently listed in Palm Beach County is $320,000. The median rent price in Palm Beach County is $1,900, which is the same as the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metro median of $1,900.
Mortgage delinquency is the first step in the foreclosure process. This is when a homeowner fails to make a mortgage payment. The percent of delinquent mortgages in Palm Beach County is 0.0%, which is higher than the national value of 0.0%. With U.S. home values, having fallen by more than 20% nationally from their peak in 2007 until their trough in late 2011, many homeowners are now underwater on their mortgages, meaning they owe more than their home is worth. The percent of Palm Beach County homeowners underwater on their mortgage is 0.1%, which is lower than Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metro at 0.1%.

Wow! It sure appears that West Palm Beach is coming into a new era with the construction of The Bristol a beautiful, contemporary condominium building.

This rivals any building in Miami and brings with it an entirely new breed into West Palm Beach. Everything about this building says watch Palm Beach Grow! The Bristol is at 1100 S Flager Dr., West Palm Beach.

Every time that I bring a guess to the Girls market it is the same comment. That is the best strawberry shake that I ever had. I do not have any connection to the Boys of the Girls market except that I go there two or three times a month to buy produce.

 The same owners for The Boys and The Girls plus the Pizza shop and Granny’s bakery which is by far the best! 2/19/2017
It is the best for kids because; There are swans, exotic birds, a giant tortoise an array of birds and animals and a variety of trees and foliage for everyone to enjoy.

I am a very strict vegetarian for the past 37 years; however, I took my friend to Ben’s Deli on 441 and Clint Moor Road. My friend Sam said that it was exactly like New York including the bread.  I did notice that they offered a veggie burger but that is not part of my diet so I did not try one.  I would guess by the crowd and the nice people working there,  that everyone likes Ben’s. 2/18/2017

Cool Trip! go for a day or weekend. Ava Maria is a newer town planned by the passed owner and founder of Domino’s Pizza. This was an idea to form a Christian community in South Florida. This town was formed by creating a huge development that includes an array of sub-divisions.

The town was planned with the large Ave Maria Oratory church in the center and this church is worth the visit for anyone who enjoys viewing good art and construction. Okay it is not Saint Patrick’s cathedral but is sure is breathtaking!

Also, this town already has an established four-year university which is a great accomplishment in a short time and adds a nice ambiance to the town.

Because the town started just before the recession its growth was stunned; however, it is now moving along in a nice steady pace.

It you do not think the town itself is worth the two-hour trip from SE Florida, there is a great deal more to do while you are in the Naples area. 2/17/2017

Before you buy a condo; if you are hoping to rent it out when you are not using it; be careful.

When you rent in Florida you will be required to collect and send in rental sales taxes on all rentals that are for less than six months.

Every condo belongs to a Home Owners Association or Condominium Association. The owners and Board of Directors set ruled for renting and they are seldom favor the condo owner. If you think that you can break the rules; think again, the Board has a duty to enforce the rules and they will take legal action without blinking an eye.

Owners that do not rent do not like strangers moving in and out.

One more thing is that you need to protect yourself in the event of anyone getting injured on your property.
